Premisis of an early local bark, established 1817, present building is probably
later. Main front is 3 storeys. Stucco, rusticated ground floor under stringcourse.
Deep cornice with parapet raised in centre to take clock. 3 windows, architrave
surrounds, cornices over lst floor windows. Sashes with glazing bars. Subsidiary
facades face east and south on to Vivary Park. Dignified building in an important
position at the end of High Street and beside the entrance gates to Vivary Park.

Nos 1 to 14 (consec) Upper High Street, the listed buildings in Vivary Parkand
Mount Street form a group together with the School, Unitarian Chapel, he Lawn
and Mary Street House in Mary Street, and Wilton House and ornamental column in
Hammets walk.
