About 1860/70. Gothic front, 3 storeys plus attic in gable. 2 types of freestone
with colour patterning. Main 3 storeys are flanked by buttresses with crocket
capitals and marble nook shafts. Weathered sillband to 2nd floor. Gable with
finial and coping contains 3 small decorative trefoils with marble insets. Attic
window is a single shouldered light with openwork stone balcony and foliage on
corbel. Other floors have 4 windows in pairs, crocket capitals and marble nook
shafts. Single shouldered lights to 2nd floor, 1st floor has lancets with moulded
heads. Deep cornice and brackets over contemporary shop fronts and openwork cresting
supporting clock. 3-light shop window divided by colonnettes, entrance to left
with 10-panel door and fanlight.

No 1A Billet Street, No 66 The County Hotel, the Brendon Bar and No "8ยจ East Street,
form an important group with the listed buildings in Cheapside, Fore Street and the
Parade.
