l856, by Kirk and Parry. Victorian Italianate, with tall centre pavilion and
links to lower end pavilions. 3 storeys to pavilions, 2 to links, in coursed
stone with ashlar dressings. Welsh slate roofs, hipped. Round-headed dormers
to links. Rusticated quoins. Bands at cills. 1st floor windows have moulded
stone segmental- headed surrounds with keystones. Moulded surrounds to 3rd floor
windows. Ground floor has plain segmental-headed surrounds to windows with keystones,
hung sashes with glazing bars. Similar architraves to doorways. End pavilions
have each 1 canted bay to main elevation on ground floor. Larger doorway to
centre pavilion, with plain columns, up steps. Also doorways in angles of end
pavilions. Stone stacks.
