3/26 Manor Farm House
G.V. II
Farm house, now 2 cottages. Late C17 with C18 rear addition and
minor C20 alterations. Red brick in flemish bond with dark
headers. Pantile roof with stone coped tumbled gables and
kneelers, single axial ridge stack and right hand gable stack.
L-plan. 2 storey with garrets, irregular 5 bay front, small
plinth and dog tooth eaves course. Off centre planked door,
flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with beyond a further sash
and a C18 tripartite curved bay window. To first floor a C20
glazing bar casement is flanked by single glazing bar sashes.
All windows have brick segmental heads with alternating red and
dark headers. The interior has early C18 doors and door
furniture, inglenook fireplace and simply stopped chamfered beam.
The main roof is of through purlin construction.
