House. c1820-50. Pinkish-brown brick with red brick arches of
gauged brick and hipped slate roof, 3 left and right end brick
stacks with oversailing courses and pots. Double-depth plan with
single-storey service range set back to right. 2 storeys, 3
first-floor windows. First floor has 8/8 sashes, ground floor has
8/12 sashes, all in plain reveals and with sills and flat arches.
Central entrance: 3 steps to a 5-panel door with circle motif to
fielded panels, fanlight with decorative circle and teardrop
motif; in panelled reveals; lion-mask knocker. Further entrance
to service range has 6-panel door, the upper panels raised and
fielded, lower panels flush beaded.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery including staircase
and panelled shutters to some windows. A little altered villa,
forming a group with Nos 46 and 47 (qv).
