School. 1909 by Sir Henry Tanner. Pebbledash with red brick dressings and
with plain tiled roof. Library range with class rooms projecting to south,
and common rooms to north. Main elevation: five projecting wings, the end
2 treated as pedimented pavilions, the centre three with hipped roofs, all
with plinth, quoins and modillion eaves cornice, with segmental semi-dormers
left and right, and 3 pedimented semi-dormers with side lights to centre.
Large transverse roof of Library with central balustraded cupola with weather
vane. Single storey side wings with glazing bar sashes, segmental semi-
dormers and half glazed doors. C20 additions to rear. Interior: wooden
truss roof to Library with curved braces, with inserted floor.
