Cottage. Late C17. Timber-framed with red brick ground floor and tile-hing 1st
floor. Half-hipped plain tiled roof with large brick stack to right of centre
and left end stack. 2 storeys; irregular fenestration of 1 window and 2 windows
on ground floor, casements. Rendered ground floor to rear with C18 catslide
outshut to which has been applied a hipped-roofed verandah on octagonal posts
with plinths, wider than the building, probably at the time of the building of
Clare (1793), so as to form an eye-catcher.
