GV II

House or 2 houses, probably early C18, now office. Brick, rendered and
painted white, slate roof. Two bays, double pile plan. Three storeys;
bands on 2 levels. Doors with stone architraves (painted black) on the
right side of each bay, modern shop windows beside them; 1st floor has
tall windows, 2nd floor has square windows, all with stone sills.
Interior: timber-framed partition walls; ovolo moulded beams in ground
floor (those in the 2nd bay set on edge); staircase with narrow string,
slim turned balusters, column newels, and moulded handrail (exposed at
top level but boxed-in below). Some internal renovation or alteration
at first floor in progress at time of survey.
