Hotel and house incorporating shop. Hotel c.1700 with later C18 front. House early
C19. Hotel of ashlar with Collyweston stone slate roof, coped west gable, stone end
stacks. Two storeys and attic. Plinth, band between ground and first floors, cornice
and deep bracketted eaves. Ground floor has sash window in moulded architrave, C19
canted bay window, C19 door in moulded architrave, a similar bay window and
round-headed entrance with keystone, originally to throughway; now to No 21. First
floor has sundial in blocked window, with 2 sash windows in moulded architraves to
either side. Three hipped dormers. Rear of main block has blocked ovolo-moulded
croisé window in pale stone, and wing to rear has croisé window of ironstone, with
leaded panes. House of stone, painted, with plain tile roof and stone end stack. Two
storeys and attic. Ground floor C20 shop front. First floor 2 6/6 sash windows in
raised architraves with keystones. C20 dormer.
