SK 70 SF MAIN STREET (South Side)
(Loddington Hall)
5/56a Pavillions and Flanking Wall

Pair of buildings whose original purpose is unclear although one is now a dwelling.
Core of late C17 or C18. Coursed ironstone rubble with Welsh slate roof.
Coped gables recessed from the wall-line. 2 and 3-light mullioned windows
in east gables, the northernmost building is a dwelling and has single light
casement windows in its north wall and rear doorway. The 2 buildings are linked
by a length of coursed rubble wall pierced by tall vents so presumably a remnant
of a former barn.
