Includes No 37A Waterloo Street. Mid/late C19. Stone. Two and a half storeys
plus basement; 3 bays marked at ground and first floor levels by pilasters with
banded rustication and the entrance on the corner. Ground and first floors each
with a blank bay and 2 arched windows in moulded surrounds, those of the second floor
set in corniced panels. Cornice bands at first and second floor levels, the second
floor one bracketted. Second floor with a blank bay, a single window and
a couplet of windows all within moulded eared surrounds and between coupled
pilasters. Moulded eaves cornice with intermittent brackets. Balustraded
parapet. On the corner, the main entrance, up steps, with shell hood and
within a pedimented doorcase; above it, an arched and pedimented window.
The return on Waterloo Street similarly treated and with the entrance to No
37A Waterloo Street.
