C1830 pair of close set but detached identical stucco villas. Two storeys,
3 bay symmetrical fronts. Each has plinth and ground floor channelled up
to first floor sill course. Deep flat eaves to pediment gable end slate
roofs; flanking chimney stacks. First floor windows in archivolt surrounds,
all windows sashes retaining glazing bars. Central doorways each with tall
slender Greek Doric column engaged porch with deep entablature; panelled
door in panelled reveals and soffit; rectangular fanlight with patterned
glazing intact to No 5. Flanking coach houses, that of No 5 remodelled but
No 4 retaining segmental arched doors and window over. Both project
slightly with band cornice and parapet and have recessed passage entrance
links.
