Circa 1665-70. Highly ornate stucco Italianate elevation 2 storeys with basement/
cellar. A broad elevation but 4 window bays (including doorway) grouped to
centre. Windows on ground floor have pilaster frames rising from linked sills
on consoles. Enriched console brackets (flanking faceted panel friezes) support
common cornice, but with individual pediment blocking courses and acroteria
decorated with shell and anthemion motifs, linked by scrollwork. The framing
pilasters of the doorway are on a larger scale and support long anthemion
decorated console brackets up to cornice; panelled reveals and door of 6 moulded
panels. The first floor has full width sill course, with consoles lined up
on windows. The latter have seared strip surrounds with console brackets to
flanking enriched friezes and supporting common dentil cornice. The main
entablature has a deep frieze with acanthus leaf consoles on stops, a dentil
cornice flanked by console-corbels with acanthus stops each side and Lion's
head and anthemion capping, and overall a parapet raised to the centre and
crowned with an acroterion. These ornate premises are linked to rear with
Nos 54 to 58 Vittoria Street.
