TL 99 NE CASTON THE STREET

Tower mill. 1864. Brick. 6 storeys. Unfloored gallery at second stage.
Tablet over segmental arched door inscribed E.W. 1864 (Edward Wyer). Windows,
partly renewed, at cardinal points to each floor. Boatshaped Norfolk cap and
sails intact but fantail missing. All original machinery intact including
scales, sack hoists and corn shutes. 2 pairs of stones in vats, originally
3. Granary, now house, abuts mill to south. 2 storeys of brick with gabled
pantiled roof. 4 casements to ground floor under segmental arches. Set-off
to first floor. 3 windows to left of double granary doors. C20 extensions
to south and west.
