20/269 Well Cottage

GV II

Cottage. Coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, thatch roof, brick stacks. 2
storeys; 2 bays. Entrance in second bay from right has C20 gabled timber porch.
Inner doorway has wood lintel and C20 door. 2-light casement window with wood
lintel to right. 2 similar windows to left. 3-light casement windows with wood
lintels on the first floor. Interior not inspected. Said to have been part of a
row of cottages, including Avon Cottage (q.v.), the central portion having been
demolished c.1970.
