Early C18 pair, each 3 storeys and basement, 3 windows. Brown brick, red brick
quoins and dressings. No 236 has parapet with original brickwork and slated roof.
No 238 has parapet brickwork renewed and galvanised iron roof. Gauged brick segmental
arches with keyblocks, stone cills and aprons to later casement windows. No 236
has modern shop on ground floor. No 238 has Roman Doric entablature surround
to door; and original wrought-iron area railings.
