Cl6. Two and three-storey block of timber framed cottages, considerably altered
externally in early C20. Plastered fronts with false framing. Leaded casement
windows, one early one to dormer of Waxwell Cottage, which also retains exposed
structural timbers inside (eg queen post truss in party wall with Manor Cottage);
also an important feature is the smoke chamber, some 5 ft square, of wattle and
daub; part of roof structure retains wood braces; and old tile roof. Manor House
burnt in C19 and reconstructed.
