Early C17. Timber frame, exposed on west side, partly faced in roughcast.
Half H-shaped plan. 2 storeys and cellars. Casement windows. fine 2
storeyed porch of the period with shaped brackets under moulded bressummber
and turned balusters in side walls. Slate roofs. Very good staircase
in west wing with large moulded balusters, moulded strings and moulded
pendants. RCHM Volume II, page 62, Plate 31 and 124.
