Fine L-ahaged house. The back or west wing is the oldest part and is C17. The
front was added in C18. 2 storeys and attics brown brick with red brick dressings.
Hipped tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers. Cornice and parapet. 5 windows. The
back windows on the west side and at the west end of the south front are the original
casement windows, with small square leaded panes, but the window of the main front
facing east are sash windows with glazing bars intact. Doorcase with fluted Doric
pilasters, triglyph frieze, pediment, semi-circular fanlight and door of 6 fielded
panels.

All the items at Underdown House form a group.
