C15 timber-framed building of modified Wealden type, restored in C20. Originally
open hall but now of 2 storeys. Close-studded timbers with plaster infilling,
the first floor of the south-westernmost window bay oversailing on the protruding
ends of the floor joists and brackets. Flint plinth. The remainder of the
front has wide overhanging eaves supported on brackets. Steeply pitched hipped
tiled roof. Left side doorcase with floral pattern in the spandrels. C20
extensions to rear. Curious brick chimneystack with circular chimney posts.
