Remains of Priory Walls in Victoria Road, Kingsfield Terrace and Priory Road, including the doorway in Kingsfield Terrace

(formerly listed as Remains of Priory Walls in Victoria Road, Kingsfield Terrace and Priory Lane, including the doorway in Kingsfield Terrace)

22.12.53.

II
Substantial portions of the boundary walls of Dartford Priory remain within the modern Engineering Works. They are of Kentish ragstone with some flint and brick and are largely medieval but partly date from Henry VIII's reign. The longest portions front Kingsfield Terrace and Victoria Road, and set in the former is a four-centred, arched, wooden doorway which was inserted in 1544.
