Lodge and gatepiers. Early C19. Ashlar with hipped slate roof. Single storey,
Greek cross plan. Severe details, plain cornice and blocking course. West
elevation has recessed porch with unfluted Doric columns in antis; C20
half-glazed door and overlight. Central stack has cornice. North elevation has
pilaster strips and sashed window with glazing bars; inserted casement to
right. East and south elevation has C20 flat roofed extensions. 4 rusticated
gatepiers with flanking low walls have half-round projection to each face,
entablature caps, outer piers with urn finials, inner piers with plinths with
Stanley arms.
