Tye Cottage and The Green

Pair of semi-detached houses. Outbuilding attached right not of
special interest. The Green (right), C16; The Cottage C17. Facade
at right angles to Main Street. Coursed and squared limestone with
concrete tile roof. Ashlar central stack with moulded top. Brick
gable end stack right. One storey and attic light by two, C20
gabled dormers with 2-light casements respectively. Tye Cottage
has one 3-light flat-chamfered stone mullioned window with leaded
panes. Unpainted plank door with strap hinges, left. Single fire
window to left of that. The Green: 6-panel, C20, unpainted door
with upper panels glazed. Single light to right, 3-light stone,
ovolo mullioned window, to right. These cottages are very obvious
from the Main Street and lie adjacent to the picturesque centre of
the village.
