II

Three houses, now one. C17 with C18 additions; C19 and C20
alterations. Coursed rubble limestone; ashlar chimney shaft; stone
slate roof. C17 cross passage with lateral chimney stack: single
storey plus attic. Two 2-storey C18 wings, one added laterally
producing T-plan. North side has stepped lateral chimney with
diagonal shaft and moulded cap; small window to inglenook; large
round-ended projecting bread oven to right; one 4-light ovolo
moulded mullioned window to left. Scattered fenestration, some C20
inserted windows but generally 2-light casements. Eaves parapet
at angle between two wings; east doorway has 4-centred arch;
windows of 2 and 3-lights in south wing, ovolo moulded on ground
floor. East gable end has 3-light with C20 alteration to upper
floor. West gable end has a 3-light ovolo moulded window to both
floors, with hood mouldings, and a cross-roll saddle above.
Interior: chamfered beams and joists in C17 range
