1/1 Slait Barn

II

Barn. Mid C19. Random rubble limestone with ashlar dressings;
stone slate roof. Rectangular with central 2-storey porch to
south; central single-storey porch to north. North side:
central parapet-gabled porch with large round-arched doorway and
plank doors; 2 slit vents either side of porch, one above other,
each with pointed head. Ends: parapet-gabled with small pigeon
hole in gable apex andd segmental-arched loft doorway below; 2
slit vents below loft level. South side not accessible at time of
inspection (July 1985) and screened by trees.
Interior not accessible. A well-built and elegant C19 barn in a
remote location.
