II

Mill building and chimney stack. Early C18; mid-late C18 enlargement. Mid C19 chimney. Coursed rubble limestone; tall red brick chimney; corrugated iron roof. Three-storey.

South-east side: part to right appears original with three middle floor three-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds; two-light to ground floor has hoodmould linking with doorway. Paired four-pane sashes under timber lintel to left. Upper floor and range of windows to left are later additions; timber windows with iron opening casements. Eaves-mounted chimney to left.

South-west end: original line of roof visible, single-window fenestration; blocked three-light to ground floor, two-light above, both with hoodmoulds. Tall detached chimney stack has square tapering shaft with stone bands at base and cap.

Single-storey brick-built office building to east is not of special interest.

Interior not inspected.

Parts of building in poor structural condition at time of survey (September 1986).

Forms part of group with St Mary's House (q.v.) and St Mary's Mill (q.v.).
