on east side of farmyard

Barn. Dated 1758. Timber-frame with weatherboard cladding on brick plinth, the
plinth mostly rebuilt late C20. Thatch roof. 3 bays with rear aisle. Yard
elevation: tall, central, double, board cart door; small glazed opening to left;
half-hipped roof. Rear: similar opposing cart door with small glazed opening to
right. One small opening to right return, and two to left return, one boarded
across. Interior; jowelled posts arch-braced to arcade plate and to tie-beams,
the tie-beam on left of cart-entrance with date and initials "R "
T M;
raking queen strut roof trusses clasping through purlins; old rafters.
