These listed separately when they do not run in conjuction with the CITY
WALL. C13 and later. Limestone rubble. Particularly well preserved
in SYMONDS STREET AND ST. SWITHUN STREET. The Prior's Gate, the main
entrance to the Close is C15 plain four-centred arch with original traceried
doors. Coat-of-Arms over arch. Castellated parapet.
