Milestone. C18. Painted stone, weathered and with sides inscribed: 19 to Stockbridge, 15 to Winchester, 48 to London and 2 to Basingstoke. It is on the Stockbridge and Basingstoke and the Basingstoke, Odiham and Alton turnpikes of 1755 and 1736 respectively.
A good example of an C18 milestone.
