House in row. Late C18, altered early C19. Flemish bond
brickwork, slate mansard roof.
2 storeys, attic and basement; two 6-pane sashes flat-roofed
dormers above a large central bow oriel with 8:12:8-pane
sashes, and at ground floor a 16-pane sash, small 6-pane, to
brick voussoirs, and a brick arch over a 6-panel door with
radial fanlight. A small Portland stone plinth, and a painted
cornice band with saw-tooth brick dentils, carried in wood
across the head of the oriel, blocking course and coped
parapet. A stack to the left gable; the right gable, partly
exposed by the setting-back of No.4 (qv), is rendered. The
rear has a central dormer, a deep gabled wing, and part
parallel range.
