Farmhouse and cottage. Late C18. Hammer-dressed watershot
stone with slate roof. Double-depth plan with a total of 3
bays and 2 storeys. The house has a symmetrical elevation
with four 5-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows
(each with 2 mullions removed) arranged about a central
door. Eaves cornice. Gable and ridge chimney stacks. The
cottage has a lower roofline, a door with dressed surround
and a 3-light window (as above) each with 2 mullions missing
on each floor. The rear of the cottage is obscured by a C20
addition. The house would appear to have been raised from 1
to 2 storeys at the rear and has three 4-light and a 5-light
window (as front). Included for group value.
