House, originally farmhouse. C17 remodelled in circa early C19 and extended probably in later C19. Rendered rubble walls with gable ended asbestos slate roof which has serrated ridge tiles. Three rendered, probably brick, stacks, one axial and one to each gable end. Rendered brick shaft to rear outshut.

Originally three-room and through-passage plan with hall stack backing onto the passage; it is unclear whether the lower room (to the left) and inner room were heated originally. Remodelled internally, with staircase inserted into passage, and refenestrated in circa early C19. Probably in later C19 outshut added at rear of inner room/hall.

Two storeys. Asymmetrical four-window front of C20 facsimile 12-pane sashes with horns set in earlier flush frames, first floor right of centre is probably C19. On ground floor right of centre is early C19 tripartite sash of 20 panes. To its right is late C20 two-light casement without glazing bars. At left of centre is C20 glazed door to passage under C20 replacement flat porch-hood supported on heavy timber posts (originally porch had round wooden columns). Attached to house at left end is a two storey building with a garage on the ground floor and adjoining passageway to rear and stone steps to the left leading to first floor; may originally have been a granary.

Interior: hall has C17 wood lintel to fireplace; chamfered, with hollow step stops. Small wall cupboard adjoining fireplace on the front wall, probably C18 with fielded-panel door. Some six-panel doors and stick baluster staircase date from C19 remodelling.
