Milestone. Early or mid C19. Granite. A single piece of stone, oblong in section
with rounded top. Inscription carved on front in 3 sections, the sections separated
by horizontal incised lines. The lettering is somewhat weathered and has been
picked out in black paint, part of which has worn off. The inscription appears to
read, starting at the top: NEWTON 4 4 0, BOVEY 1 0 0, and MORETON 8 2 O.
