Block of 6 houses, C17 or C18 terrace of small timberframed
plastered 2 storeys houses with steep old red tile roofs. Nos 55
and 65 form cross wings and have a projecting gabled front to the
street, with heavy cusped bargeboards. 2 large decorative
central chimneys and a third square stack serving 63 and 65. 2-
light wooden casement windows 1 on each floor in each house. A
continuous dripboard on shaped brackets runs above all Ground
floor openings. Small gabled porches to 59, 61 and 63. No 65 is
weatherboarded on 1st floor. 2-light attic window in gable to
55. Modillioned cornice to N return of 55 and to 57 and 59. 1
large Ground floor room to each house and a shallow rear service
room. A picturesque group of timber framed village houses in the
middle of the Conservation Area.
