A timber framed cottage of C17 or early C18 origin, recased in red brick c1800 and with further alterations in the mid C19. Two storeys with steep half hipped old tile roof, brick dentil eaves. The first floor principally as an attic storey. Very tall mid C19 brick chimney stacks rising from eaves. Gabled tiled cheek mid C19 dormers. The gable end has two revealed glazing bar sashes with flat gauged rubber brick arches to first floor and similar but tripartite glazing bar sash window centred on ground floor. Renewed doorway with gauged rubber brick flat and to right. Hipped end has four light transomed wood casement to ground floor. Interior retains exposed a part of a roof truss with large tie beam end raked brace. Chamfered ceiling beam in corridor at foot of staircase.
