3/379 West barn at Bride Hall

GV II

Large C17 barn with C18 additions. Weatherboarding on brick
base. Plain tile roof. C17 barn is 7 bays long. Heavy mid-
height purlins. Curved braces to tie beams. Double purlin roof
with some curved wind braces. Similar braces to walls. Gabled
cart entrance near centre of both sides, that on E with a C18
lean-to attached on right. W porch has a jettied gable on
straight braces. 2-bay extension on S side is early C18.
Similar construction, but much thinner scantling.
