GV II

An ale house and shop, now a private house. Early C19 remodelling of an
older narrower building taking in the former rear outshut. Red brick
with some blue headers. Slate pitched roof. A long 2-storeys and cellar
house on street front facing N, with lean-to extension on E end. 3
windows to 1st floor, flush box sashes with 8/12 panes. Similar windows
flank the 6-panel flush-beaded door a third from the W. Large internal
chimney a third from E. E part has blocked door and shallow canted-bay
shop-window with panelled pilasters, full entablature, and small panes.
Brick base. Door-surround to ale house has panelled pilasters, full
entablature and flat hood on shaped brackets.
