Terrace of 11 houses and attached railings. c1820-50. Stucco
over brick with concealed roofs, brick party-wall stacks with
cornices (1 stucco) and iron railings, gates and balconies.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 41 first-floor windows arranged
3:3:3:3:3:3:5:5:5:3:5. Ramped downwards between Nos 15 and 16,
17 and 18, and 19 and 20. Stucco detailing includes horizontal
rustication to ground floor except to No.22; first-floor band;
frieze, cornice and blocking course. First floor has 6/6
sashes, some blind openings to Nos 18 and 20 in plain reveals
and with sills; ground floor has tripartite windows, 6/6
(No.22 renewed 1/1) between 2/2 in raised surrounds and
channelled reveals. Left and central entrances have solid
porches (horizontal rustication continues across these) with
4-panel doors (some part-glazed) where original; projecting
barriers between 5-bay houses.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: first-floor balconies have enriched stick
balusters. Area railings and gates have lancet heads.
