House, now shop with house over. Early C19. Red brick with blue headers in
Flemish bond, slate roof. Rectangular plan facing SE, with rear extensions. 2
storeys. At left, carriageway with elliptical arch of gauged red brick, C20
door with shallow arch of gauged red brick, C20 shopfront 'The Golden
Sovereign'. First floor, 3 original sashes of 16 lights with shallow arches of
gauged red brick. Roof of shallow pitch, hipped at right only, connecting with
adjacent Brick House at left. The right corner of the building is rounded off,
to 4 courses below the eaves.
