Cottage. Late C17 or early C18, with probably later C18 additions. Rendered cob and
stone rubble. Hipped thatched roof (probably wheatstraw). Slate roofs over outshut
and porch. Rendered axial stack.
Plan and development: Two-room plan. Axial stack with principal larger room to left
and smaller room to right. It is possible that the right-hand room was a later C18

addition with end stack at rear of left-hand end. Outshut added to left-hand end.
Two storeys with one-storey outshut.
Exterior: Asymmetrical 2-window front; C19 two-and 3-light wooden casements. Old
boarded door to left with pegged wooden frame and C20 gabled wooden porch.
Interior: Left-hand ground-floor room has C17 plain joists spanning front to back.
Large open stone fireplace to right has chamfered wooden lintel with runout stops.
Front window has jambs continuing to ground.
