SS 72 SE BISHOP'S NYMPTON

6/17 Outbuilding adjoining Lower Webbery
- Farmhouse at the north east

GV II

Outbuilding, probably a granary. C19. Stone rubble with brick dressings; slate
roof, gabled at end.
Plan: Rectangular on plan, adjoining the farmhouse at the north east and at right
angles to it. The east end seems to be a granary over a store, the west end may have
served semi-agricultural, semi-domestic use. It was not clear at the time of survey
whether there is internal access from the house.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Aymmetrical 3 window front with 2-light windows to the left, an
agricultural doorway with a segmental brick arch to the right below a C20 window and,
to the left of the doorway, a flight of external stone steps up to a C19 plank door
into the loft.
Interior: Not inspected.
Group value with Lower Webbery Farmhouse.
