Description

SS 72 NE BISHOP'S NYMPTON

2/21 Outbuilding immediately west of
- Mornacott Farmhouse

GV II

Outbuilding, formerly used as a fowl house over pig styes, disused at time of survey
(1987). Probably 1870s, and probably contemporary with a yard of late C19
farmbuildings south west of Mornacott Farmhouse (q.v.). Stone rubble with a slate
roof, gabled at ends.
Plan: Small rectangular building with a flight of external stone steps at the right
(east) end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. The south elevation has 3 doors (one converted to a window),
and a window at the left end. Loft door in the right gable end, 2 doors on the
north elevation.
Interior: Not inspected.
Group value with the farmhouse and C19 buildings in the yard.
