Description

SS 72 NE BISHOP'S NYMPTON

2/7 Garliford Mill

II

Miller's house. Probably early C19. Colourwashed and rendered; slate roof, hipped
at ends; end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: L plan. The main range, 2 rooms wide with an entrance to left of centre faces
south across the River Yeo, rear right wing at right angles to the main range.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Slightly asymmetrical 3-bay front with a C19 front door with
gabled porch hood. Circa early C19 small pane timber casements, 3-light to the left
and 4-light to the right.
Interior: No access to interior at time of survey (1987).
An attractive small traditional house with a very unspoiled exterior. An interior
inspection might necessitate revising the suggested dating.
