Farmhouse. C17 with probably earlier origins, left end remodelled and heightened in late C19. Rendered stone rubble and cob, with some brick at left end. Thatch roof with gable end to right, and slate roof to higher left end. Axial brick shaft to hall stack, stone rubble stack at right end and capped lateral stack to rear left end.

Plan: Three-room and cross-passage plan, with hall stack backing onto wide passage containing staircase. The inner room end has been largely rebuilt and a third storey added in the late C19, and was possibly in separate occupation at this time as it had separate direct front access (now blocked) and until late C20 contained a separate staircase. Dairy outshut apparently largely rebuilt in C19 to rear of hall. The hall ceiling beam would suggest a C17 date for the farmhouse, but some probably smoke-blackened re-used roof timbers suggest it may have earlier origins. The lower end may also have been largely remodelled in the C18, when the main range was reroofed.

Exterior: two storeys, inner room end unusually three storeys. Five-window range. All C20 two-light casements, three panes per light. Thatched leanto roof to porch. Blocked doorway to inner room end.

Interior: solid wall partitions at each end of hall. Ovolo-moulded cross ceiling beam to hall, timber lintel replaced to hall fireplace which has dressed stone jambs and bread oven. C17 four-centred arched doorway to rear of hall with chamfered surround and, interestingly, a small incised cross above the centre of the arch. Old plank door with cover strips. Lower end has single plain chamfered cross ceiling beam and rounded back to fireplace which has been partially rebuilt in C20. Roof structure entirely C18 or possibly early C19, with pegged lapped collars to trusses with straight principals and waney purlins and rafters. Some of the battens and one re-used rafter are smoke-blackened.
