Sunday school and caretaker's.cottage, mid-c19, in Gothic revival style. Red
brick, Flemish bond, stone quoins and window surrounds, roofed with handmade
red clay tiles. Rectangular plan aligned approx. N-S with entrance porch to
N, blocked entrance in W wall, 2 chimney stacks in E wall. External chimney
stack on N gable end, C20. Single storey with attics. W elevation, N porch
with lancet window in shallow recess with 4-centred arch, central doorway with
4-centred arch and hood mould, blocked, a C20 metal casement window inserted. 2
windows each consisting of 2 lights with 2-centred arches, chamfered architrave
and hood mould. Stone string course at sill level. Group of 3 similar lights
in facade gable. Deep eaves with gable finial and dentil brick course. 2
diagonal shafts on each original chimney stack.
