Farmhouse, part now outbuilding. Dated lintel: 1612, but mostly later C1/; C19
roof. Stone rubble with ashlar dressings and slate roof. L-plan with wing to
south-west; 2 storeys. Wide eaves and verges; single-chamfered mullioned
windows. North-west wing has north-east elevation of 4 bays. 2-light windows,
those to ground floor with labels, now lacking mullions and with horizontally
sliding sashes, that to 3rd bay now entrance with glazed door. 1st bay has
light with chamfered reveals; 2nd bay has blocked window with lattice pattern to
lintel. 1st bay has entrance with sunk triangular head, dated lintel and label
mould with head stops; studded door with strap hinges and knocker. Cross-axial
and gable end stacks. Adjacent north-west elevation of north-east wing of 3
bays, similar to above; 2-light windows; 2nd bay has corbelled gabled oriel to
1st floor with 4-light double-chamfered mullioned window. Entrance to 1st bay
has chamfered reveals and label mould; entrance to 3rd bay has sunk triangular
head and label mould. Lights to 2nd and 3rd bays, that to 2nd bay blocked.
Cross-axial stack. Small single-storey gabled wing to return, small-paned
glazing to return window and dove cote openings to gable. North-west gable end
has 2- and 3-light blocked windows. South-west elevation has long gabled wing
with end stack, to right a large projecting lateral stack with slate set ouff
and stringcourses. Wing has 3-light windows, that to ground floor with label,
left return has 2-light windows. To left a re-entrant stair wing under catslide
roof with timber conservatory to left covering 2-light window and entrance,
2-light window above. South-east elevation has 2 bay under gable, ground floor
has 3-light windows with transoms and continuous label mould, 2-light windows
above, 3-bays to right has 2 windows of 2 lights, one blocked one now with
small-paned glazing and end light to ground floor, 3:2:1:1-light blocked windows
to 1st floor. 2 entrances, one with sunk triangular head. Interior: C17
panelled door, segmental-arched fireplace with C19 grate in later fireplace;
stone spiral stair; north-east wing has chamfered beams and joists.
