Terrace of three, circa 1800. Each four storeys and basement, three windows (except
left bay of No 158, a three-storey three-window canted bay projection). Stock
brick with parapet. Gauged flat brick arches to replaced sash windows. Five
and three steps to doors of six fielded panels with fluted head and rectangular
fanlight in deep reveal. Doorcases, of fluted Ionic pilasters, fluted frieze
and dentil cornice, partly concealed by fluted architraves. Tall wrought iron
area railings. No 160 has GLC blue plaque: "SIR PHILIP BEN GREET 1857-1936 ACTOR-
MANAGER LIVED HERE 1920-1936".
