River Cottage

Cottage. C17 origin, enlarged C18. Plastered cob walls, thatched roof, brick
stacks. One storey and attics. Ledged door with glass panel. Ground floor has
five casement windows, one with glazing bars, others modern. Attic has five
half-dormers with casements. Single-storey extensions each end, of concrete block
with corrugated asbestos roofs. One ground floor room has large open fireplace with
timber lintel and jambs and bread oven. Some exposed chamfered ceiling beams.
