A late C18 white gault brick house, possibly incorporating parts of an earlier
house. The front has a parapet, slightly recessed, above each window range,
with a stone coping and cornice. 2 storeys and attics. 4 window range, arranged
3:1. The north end, of 1 window range, is slightly recessed on front (a later
extension). Mainly double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals.
The outer windows on the 1st storey of the main block are 3-light mullioned
and transomed casements with glazing bars. The ground storey has 2 3-light
bow windows with cornices and a central 8-panel door with the upper panels glazed.
The doorcase has a plain architrave and a cornice on console brackets. Roof
tiled, hipped, with 3 flat headed dormers. The interior has a panelled room
on the ground storey and a linenfold oak panel dado.

All the listed buildings from No 24 to No 56A on the east side
form a group with No 37 to No 89 (with Nos 57, 61, 61A) on the west side.
