Pair of cottages and shop. C18, altered in C20. Timber framed and red brick in
various bonds, partly plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 2
parallel ranges of 3 bays aligned NW-SE, each with an external stack at the SE
end. C20 external stack and shopfront at NW end. C19 extension to NE of NW
end, and lean-to extension in E angle, roofed with red clay pantiles. C20
lean-to conservatory and lean-to extension roofed with red clay pantiles to SE.
One storey with attics. SW elevation, 2 early C19 sashes of 16 lights, one C19
horizontal sash of 12 lights in lean-to dormer. Central plain boarded door with
moulded open pediment on scrolled brackets. Plastered brick, with dentilled
course below eaves. Gambrel roofs. Bowed shopfront to NW with 35 small panes
on each side of central half-glazed door with overlight. On first floor, one
C19/C20 sash of 10 + 15 lights, one C19 horizontal sash of 12 lights. Included
for group value.
